The Summer School on Robot Grasping organized by the 3 EU IP projects GRASP, HANDLE and DEXMART took place in Benicàssim, a renowned tourist centre at a short distance from Castellón and Jaume I University (Spain).  Young researchers from the institutions forming the consortia of the three projects formed the majority of the attendees to the course.  Nine among the 38 young researchers and students came from the HANDLE project teams. 

This summer school provided a theoretical and practical introduction to the field of robot grasping. The school has adopted a multi-perspective approach ranging from analytical to biologically inspired views and from the mechanical design level to the cognitive point of view.
